Terms of Service
Independent hosting. Independent thinking.
Simple terms. No corporate waffle. We have written these terms in plain English wherever possible.
Using Webby
Webby provides business technology services including web hosting, connectivity, telephony and IT support throughout the United Kingdom. When you become a customer, we agree to provide the services you have purchased. In return, you agree to pay for those services and use them responsibly.
Web Hosting
Your hosting includes the features advertised on your chosen plan. Backups are provided as a convenience and should not replace your own backup strategy. You remain responsible for your own data, files, email, website content and software.
Business WiFi
Business WiFi services may include installation, configuration, equipment and ongoing support where applicable. Equipment supplied by Webby remains our property unless purchased outright.
Business Phones
Business phone services include hosted telephony and optional hardware where agreed. Emergency calling should always be tested after installation and you must tell us if users move location.
Remote IT Support
Support is primarily provided remotely unless onsite support has been agreed. Emergency support may incur additional charges where this falls outside your support package or where the emergency channel is misused.
Payments & Billing
Payments are collected securely through Stripe unless otherwise agreed. Services are generally billed monthly in advance. If payment cannot be collected, services may be suspended until your account is brought up to date.
Cancellation
Most monthly services can be cancelled with 30 days notice. Some services may have minimum contract terms, installation charges, equipment costs or supplier commitments. These will be made clear before you order where they apply.
Acceptable Use
Please do not use our services to send spam, host malware, conduct phishing attacks, attack other systems, store or distribute illegal material, infringe copyright or abuse shared resources.
Security
You are responsible for keeping passwords secure, enabling two-factor authentication where available, keeping websites and software up to date, and protecting your own devices.
Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Webby's liability is limited to the amount you have paid for the affected service during the previous 12 months. Nothing in these terms limits your statutory rights or liability that cannot legally be excluded.
